What a gem to find in such a setting! ‘Le Petit Frère’ has a mature, intimate atmosphere and a chic-cosy décor of brickwork and radiant colours. The menu is traditionally French and offers a varied range of fine dishes which alters each week. Some of this master restaurateur’s specialities are delicious home-made foie gras, and fresh seasonal produce to accompany succulent sweetbreads, beautiful pieces of beef or fish served whole and sliced at the table. And to round things off, try the icing on the cake – a madeleine poached baba-style in rum, or the home-made iced nougat. It is a royal spread created by Julien Le Guillou, who has returned to Lyon after having completed his studies at the Bocuse brasseries and in the kitchens of restaurants in Paris. A delightful meal which is unquestionably value for money.
