A Word from the President
Gastronomy is at the heart of our culture and heritage here in France, and our beautiful region is no exception. As chefs and men and women of taste, serving up exquisite cuisine and sharing our culinary traditions whether with guests at our establishments or through participation in the activities of the Toques Blanches Lyonnaises, is much more than a duty, a constant source of delight.
The art of cooking is passed down from generation to generation. I come from a long line of cooks who have presided over our family-owned restaurant in Les Échets, in the Dombes region, for three generations. My forefathers have passed on not only their recipes, but also their passion for local produce. They also taught me that cooking is above all about people and togetherness. Most Lyonnais chefs share this sentiment, not least the members of the Toques Blanches Lyonnaises.
Despite our distinct culinary styles, we all share the same values. We are united by our passion for cuisine, be it traditional or gourmet, cutting-edge or classic or grounded in taste, such are our renowned Bouchons Lyonnais. That is why I am so proud of the region where I was born and bred and to be at the helm of the Toques Blanches Lyonnaises.
