This restaurant, accessible by boat, is located on the banks of the Saône, surrounded by nature and stone – reminders of the proximity of Dombes and Beaujolais. Exquisite local ingredients (and fish) are showcased by Frédéric Côte in his seasonal cuisine. The chef, originally from the Roanne area, trained in the kitchens of Chauveau, Blanc and Boulud and is known for his professional and human qualities. Here, contentment can easily be found on the terrace in summer or nestled beside the huge fireplace. Dishes such as the famous frog legs in persillade or a chanterelle cream sauce bring much happiness. Lobster andouillette and Chinese cabbage is one of the chef’s favourite dishes and illustrates his generosity beautifully. Restaurant regulars also recommend the ‘lièvre à la royale’ (hare) and home-made ‘Saint Honoré’ dessert – both delicious!
