Christophe Aribert’s roots lie here in the land in the unspoilt surroundings of Uriage, located between Vercors, Belledonne and Chartreuse. The chef’s great-grandfather was a market gardener, his grandfather was a baker and his father was a chef and hotel-owner. Christophe Aribert’s own double-Michelin starred skills are derived from the natural world and life in the countryside. His philosophy is to promote a wholesome cuisine for well-being and the idea of looking after yourself by eating well. He wants to encourage cooking with local, seasonal ingredients and, of course, working in partnership with farmers and local producers. The eco-friendly approach used at ‘La Maison Aribert’ is based on meticulous work, an impeccable service and superb hospitality here within the walls of the Grand Chalet. The surroundings are the perfect place for fully appreciating the flavours of the brown trout, roasted Arctic char and Trièves guinea fowl, enhanced with herbs and vegetables from the valleys and mountains.
