Laurent Rigal, originally from Clermont-Ferrand, fell under the spell of fine cuisine very early on. In 2017, he took over the reins of the L’Alexandrin, with Paul Bocuse’s blessing. This undertaking was rewarded the following year with his first Michelin star. The following sums up the restaurant beautifully: ‘l’Alexandrin combines originality with generosity’. Laurent Rigal skilfully uses the best seasonal ingredients to create contemporary Lyon classics, creative themed dishes and a wide choice of vegetarian options. This is illustrated by the Bresse chicken with vinegar, the asparagus and bean velouté and the hot madeleine with Guanaja chocolate. Dishes are served in elegant and contemporary surroundings, and there is even a table d’hôte for four with a front row seat in the kitchen!
