Here is a restaurant which knows how to dig in its heels and remain faithful to its glorious heritage. This is not an uncontrolled rampage which should be feared, as this elegant restaurant was awarded a Bib Gourmand in 2019 – an accolade which recognises its excellent value for money. Grégoire Baratier, trained to a high level by Bocuse, Pic and Viannay (Mère Brazier), is an ardent advocate for high-class cuisine being available to all. The chef, who is skilled at using texture and colour, is also very keen on market produce. This dictates what is on the menu, and the ingredients largely have low food miles and are 100% home-made. As a result, it is not surprising that people come from far and wide to taste his flavoursome sweetbread fricassee, which is one of the best in town.
