The family Marguin fell under the spell of high-end gourmet dining four generations ago and have been delighting fans of frog legs and chicken in cream sauce for many years in their gourmet establishment in the Dombes. Nowadays, Christophe Marguin continues the family tradition in much more urban surroundings on the banks of the Rhône close to ‘la Tête d’Or’ park. In the cosy surroundings of an impressive fireplace, small alcoves and stunning chandeliers, the chef delights his regulars with home made classics. His wife, Nicole, however also enjoys going off the beaten track and offers a menu based on the proprietor’s creativity and seasonal ingredients – both of which are an excuse for tasty, gourmet delicacies. This all satisfies the business community who love to stop at the bar and toast to the President’s health…before savouring ‘Le Président’s’ cuisine in the bright room or private space decorated with the jackets of the greatest chefs on the planet.
