Here is a ‘bouchon lyonnais’ which knows how to enjoy itself (is that tautology?). Chef, David Cano warmly embraces Lyon cuisine, gives it a frank and friendly pat on the back and the full scope of his enthusiasm. The chalkboard menu will tell you what is to be currently celebrated as dishes are all inspired by seasonal market produce. The cooking is well executed and is prepared in front of guests. It is fresh and perfectly in season, according to what has inspired the chef. As soon as they are served, the terrines, duo of kidney and sweetbreads and cuts of Saint Marcelin beef are much appreciated, especially since the wine cellar is well stocked. ‘Les Culottes Longues’, located just a stone’s throw from the Place Bellecour, is the place to go for all those who are simply looking for something authentic and good.
